About Ligaya Lange

Ligaya Lange is a mental health consultant specializing in employee well-being and workplace mental health. She is the Founder and CEO of Ligaya Wellness, LLC and previously served as Director of Corporate Outreach at the National Alliance on Mental Illness Greater Los Angeles County (NAMI GLAC), where she led the StigmaFree Workplace Program. In that role, she partnered with organizations to increase mental health awareness and education, strengthen communication, informing both managers and employees on how to openly discuss mental health in the workplace, and implement preventative strategies for mental health crises and challenges such as burnout, anxiety, etc that may occur in the workplace. 
 
Before transitioning into mental health, Ligaya spent 15 years in corporate roles at Twentieth Century Fox Studio, The Walt Disney Company, and a “Big Four” consulting firm. Her own mental health journey inspired her to want to help others and to shift careers in 2023.
 
Today, she designs and delivers customized programs tailored to the unique needs of diverse workplaces. She also speaks openly about her lived experience with anxiety and perinatal mental health challenges, including postpartum anxiety and OCD. Ligaya is the host of Let’s Get Mental, a podcast focused on education, empowerment, and reducing stigma. She holds a BA from UC Berkeley, an MA from USC, and is a certified Peer Support Specialist. She also holds various other mental health certifications related to workplace wellness. Ligaya was born and raised in San Clemente, CA. She is half-Filipino and her name, Ligaya, means “happiness” or “joy” in Tagalog/Filipino.

Crystal Lancaster Guthery

Community Engagement Coordinator

Crystal Lancaster Guthery is a writer, mental health advocate, and Long Beach, California native. She serves as the Community Engagement Coordinator for Ligaya Wellness, LLC and has spent the last two decades raising awareness and fostering understanding for mental health. Drawing on 25 years of lived experience with Bipolar 1 Disorder, she has written numerous mental health articles for such online publications as TheMighty.com and volunteers her time managing a talented team of writers for the stigma-reduction nonprofit Breaking Taboo.

In 2017, she began volunteering for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Orange County chapter (NAMI OC). There, as a certified In Our Own Voice Presenter, she spent time visiting high schools, universities and psychiatric facilities, speaking to both small and large audiences about her own story about living with mental illness. She then went on to work for NAMI OC full-time, spearheading events and stigma-reduction programs such as “Laugh Rx”.

Prior to working in mental health, Crystal had spent six years in residential property management as a leasing professional and five years in the mortgage industry. She is the daughter of a Washington, D.C. native and a first-generation immigrant from the Philippines. Crystal has a Bachelor of Arts in English from UC Irvine and is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing. She aims to bring greater understanding, compassion, and conversation around mental health.
